WMF – a late one

Nostalgia 77

Currently relocating and finding out how easy it is to pick up random stuff as you go through life but how difficult it is to let go of said stuff when it’s time to move on. Also extremely stressful so DJ Format’s set for the FabricLive series has been on rotation to keep the tempo up. The song that always gets me going on that album is by a group called Nostalgia 77. The horns are truly memorable.

Also on rotation is Jean Grae, a south African born US raised rapper who has worked with Talib Kweli, The Roots and The Herbaliser. One of her stand out tracks i called “Don’t Rush Me” produced by the legendary 9th Wonder and is below for your listening pleasure.

She just released an ambitious project called Gotham Down which is far too complex for me to even start to explain but you should give it a shot. She’s a very talented wordsmith and obviously a big Eddie Izzard fan as her next album is entitled “Cake or Death“.
