Oxymoron2013 Brand Profiles: Partimi – Traid Remade

Partimi

Partimi

Founded by London based designer Eleanor Dorrien-Smith, PARTIMI’s design aesthetic arrives from arresting prints and fluid silhouettes.

A graduate of Central Saint Martins’ Fashion & Print BA in 2008, Eleanor also worked for Mary Katrantzou, Tata Naka, John Galliano and Eley Kishimoto before launching PARTIMI in 2009.

Conceived as a capsule collection for Anthropologie’s stores in America and online, PARTIMI was met with such acclaim that Eleanor went on to present her first ready-to-wear PARTIMI collection during London Fashion Week in September 2010.

Eleanor’s sensibility to nature has kept design and sustainability running side by side in PARTIMI. As well as being a prize winner at the Fashioning the Future Awards, Eleanor has spoken alongside notable figures at Central Saint Martins’ sustainability seminar, and whilst continuing her role in this capacity Eleanor’s singular design aesthetic remains; pure, energetic and uncluttered.

Reborn London

Founded in 2012 by London College of Fashion menswear graduate Laura Lodge, REBORN LONDON is a street-inspired menswear label that combines ethical practise with modern design and is centred on the idea of rejuvenation.

Each garment is made in London by reputable manufacturers, using only the finest materials.  Reconstituted (up-cycled), fair-trade and organic fabrics make up the majority of what we use for our collections and we pride ourselves on remaining completely transparent: keeping production ethically sound.

All REBORN LONDON designs are produced in limited runs in order to preserve the value and uniqueness of each piece.  Short-lived trends are not what we’re about, but rather creating clothing that is high quality, trans-seasonal and that brings a sense of bespoke to urban style without the price or the pretence to match.

Sara-C Prints

Sara Cohen was a London-based advertising exec and photographer who needed a break from the big city. So she spent seven weeks travelling around England in the family campervan – in the middle of winter. She was often the only person walking on the beach, hiking up the hills, sheltering beneath open skies in remote campsites.

And in that time, she discovered another, untouched England – an empty, uniquely picturesque country where nature tells millions of tiny, perfect stories. Sara photographed and drew what she saw. Sara-C Prints was born resulting in her collections: Nature’s Edge and Nature Lust.

Reflecting the wild beauty of England, Australia and Mexico, graphic natural shapes are infused with bright washes of colour. These unique prints are at the very heart of the Sara C brand.

Inspired by and respectful of the environment, each garment is individually handmade in Britain using eco-friendly processes and fabrics.
